I could go on and type alot of different scenario's but then this will end up being a wall of text, if these cases are still not enough information for you, please provide me with some more information, like the disks you're working with, what kind of raid controller and when windows was installed. About to give up and go get a NAS box but it seems like a wast since I have most of the hardware here.
I think I need to install the RAID driver software you mentioned but I have spent a lot of hours getting this to work and thought I would post this as others will have these issues.
